The Small Print

This is the website of Voodoovalve, a band based in the south of England. We're musicians, not a marketing company, and we keep the data side of this site as simple as we can. This page explains what happens when you visit.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics so we can see roughly how many people visit and which pages they look at. It works without cookies and without tracking you across other websites. It records things like the page you viewed, the type of browser and device, the country you're visiting from and how quickly the page loaded. It does not build a profile of you and we can't identify individual visitors from it.
Analytics is currently switched off for visitors in the European Union, so if you're visiting from an EU country nothing is recorded at all.
If you use the contact form, what you type (your name, email address and message) is sent to us as an email by a form service called Web3Forms. We keep that email so we can reply to you. Nothing is stored in a database on this site. If you tick the box saying you're happy for your comment to be featured publicly, we may quote it on the site with your name; leave it unticked and we won't.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the technical requests that deliver the pages to you, which involves processing your IP address for the moment it takes to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse.
A few things on the site are loaded from other companies' servers, which means your browser makes a request to them when the page loads:
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. In practice the only personal information we're likely to hold is a message you sent us through the contact form. To make a request, or if you have any question about this page, use the contact form and we'll get back to you.
If we change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
